Coming back to the Table

This past year has been a real whirlwind — full of highs, lows, and thankfully, plenty of food adventures to bring some instant brightness along the way.

The TL;DR? I started a job I was genuinely excited about, only to realize it wasn't the right fit. Even though I cared deeply about the work, I made the leap and left, which led me somewhere a little unexpected but honestly, more me. I'm heading back to my roots and what I'm most passionate about: working with kids. It feels like an unconventional detour, and there's still a lot of figuring-it-out ahead, but I'm more excited about this next chapter than I've been in a long time.

One unexpected silver lining? I'm not glued to a computer all day anymore, which means more space for the things that bring me joy, including finally giving this blog and my IG the attention they deserve.

A few highlights from the past year worth celebrating:

  • Friends coming to visit me in Seattle

  • Dancing at one of my dearest friends' weddings

  • Travels to Las Vegas, Bend & Crater Lake, San Francisco, and Vancouver B.C.

  • Pet sitting adventures (always chaotic, always worth it)

  • Nannying for friends and soaking up quality time with my nieces

  • My sister had a baby, which means I've had an embarrassing number of baby cuddles this year

Here's to eating well, writing more, and figuring the rest out as we go. 🥂
